ADA Transition Plan

The Americans with Disabilities Act requires state and local governments to ensure access to civic life for all individuals, not only regarding physical accessibility, but also in the delivery of government programs, services, activities, and employment. The law requires public entities to conduct a self evaluation of all programs, services and activities and to establish an ADA transition plan addressing structural barriers.

The City of Chino has developed an Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Self Evaluation and Transition Plan. The Plan addresses accessibility barriers in City buildings and parks, City programs, policies and procedures, and pedestrian facilities in the City’s public right-of-way. The City will use this plan as a roadmap for improvements to ensure Chino’s programs, services and activities are accessible for people with disabilities.

The ADA Annual Report documents the City’s compliance with ADA requirements and reflects its commitment to removing barriers for people with disabilities across programs, services, and activities. It provides a framework for updating the ADA Transition Plan as priorities evolve, highlights completed and planned accessibility improvements, and demonstrates the City’s good faith effort toward ongoing compliance while keeping the public informed of the City’s progress.
