Heat, wind and flood advisory

In addition to the Heat Advisory, the National Weather Service has issued a High Wind Advisory and Flood Watch for our area.

HIGH WIND ADVISORY - In effect until midnight tonight. Strong east winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 65 mph.

FLOOD WATCH - In effect until Sunday evening. Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Moisture associated with Tropical Storm Kay will bring periods of rain and thunderstorms. The heaviest rain will likely be tonight. Total rainfall of 1 to 3 inches will occur, with highest amounts near the foothills of the mountains.

HEAT ADVISORY - In effect until 8pm this evening.

Watch for roadway debris, downed branches or trees, street water buildup and other storm impacts. Should you ever see a downed power line, don’t approach or touch anything in contact with it and call 911. To report called trees or debris, visit submit a Fix-It Ticket or call 909-334-3266.
