[ARCHIVED] Chino Hires Linda Reich as New City Manager

Linda Reich

The Chino City Council is pleased to announce the appointment of Linda Reich to serve the Chino community as its new City Manager effective August 8, 2022.  The City Council voted 5-0 to hire Ms. Reich for the position.

“As a City employee for over 20 years and as a Chino resident, she has a wealth of knowledge about the community, stakeholder groups, businesses, and staff of this City.  She is a hands-on, professional, and approachable executive. Linda is a leader who creates partnerships, promotes communication, and inspires individuals and teams to work collaboratively,” said Mayor Eunice Ulloa.

Ms. Reich currently serves as Chino’s Director of Community Services and has been employed by the City since May 2002. She has over 31 years of experience in local government, having held various executive, management, and supervisory positions. Prior to her time in Chino, Reich worked for the City of Culver City.

“I am honored that the City Council selected me to serve as the City Manager,” said Ms. Reich. “Chino’s staff is recognized for its professionalism, responsiveness, and customer-centered service. We have over 560 employees, so it is important to develop and support a culture of transparency, collaboration, and accountability. I want to ensure that all our residents have a voice and ample opportunity to communicate and engage with us.”

“I am excited to work with the Executive Management Team to lead this City and its exceptional employees as the City continues to grow and evolve. I will work to ensure that we remain economically viable while improving our infrastructure and continuing to provide the quality services our residents are accustomed to receiving.”

“There is no other place I’d rather live and no other community that I’d rather serve.” says Reich.

Ms. Reich lives in Chino with her family. She holds a Master of Public Administration degree from Cal State Northridge and a Doctor in Public Administration degree from the University of La Verne.  Ms. Reich is also Lecturer in Leadership at the University of La Verne.

Per Reich’s 5-year contract, she will receive an annual salary of $279,911 plus benefits.
