Dustin Brooks came to the Chino Police Department seeking resources for a 90-day residential substance abuse program. Dustin informed the Chino Quality-of-Life- Team that he had been battling homelessness in Chino/Pomona for 14 years.
Dustin Brooks came to the Chino Police Department seeking resources for a 90-day residential substance abuse program. Dustin informed the Chino Quality-of-Life- Team that he had been battling homelessness in Chino/Pomona for 14 years. He also was struggling with substance dependency while navigating life on the streets. The City of Chino Homeless Outreach Coordinator connected Dustin to an Inpatient Rehabilitation Center, called American Recovery Center, located in Pomona.
Dustin successfully completed his inpatient residential program at American Recovery Center. Dustin is currently living at the ARCH sober home located in Pomona. The program will offer six-months of free housing. After the six-months Dustin will have to contribute 40-percent of his income towards rent. The Homeless Outreach coordinator connected Dustin to American Job center located in Pomona where Dustin will receive support in locating employment. Dustin’s long-term goal is to obtain permanent housing so his mother and sister can come to live with him.
