On May 10, 2023, at approximately 8:23 p.m., Chino Police officers were dispatched to Euclid Avenue south of Pine Avenue in reference to a collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian. A preliminary investigation revealed Karin James, a 79-year-old resident of Ontario, was walking on Euclid Avenue when she was struck by a vehicle driving southbound on the 16700 block. James succumbed to her injuries at the scene.
