Get Involved - Applications Being Accepted!

The City of Chino is accepting applications for vacancies on the Planning Commission, for a term ending December 31, 2024, and Community Services Commission for a term ending June 30, 2022.

Applicants must be residents of the City of Chino and must submit a completed application form. Please submit applications by June 4, 2021 at 5:30 p.m. to the City Clerk's office at 13220 Central Avenue Chino, CA 91710 or by email at cityclerk@cityofchino.org.

Upon review of the applications, the Mayor, along with the Council liaisons to the Planning and Community Services Commissions, will select and interview potential candidates. Interviews of invited applicants will be held during the month of June. Appointments will be made at the July 6, 2021 regular meeting of the City Council. Pursuant to Chino Municipal Code, Commissioners are appointed by the Mayor with the approval of the City Council. The City Council relies on a number of citizen boards and commissions to serve as advisory bodies to the Council. These bodies play an important role in the governance of our City and provide valuable input to the City Council.

Community Services Commission meetings are held the fourth Monday of each month in the City Council Chambers at 7:00 pm. The Commission also holds occasional workshops/tours as required.

Planning Commission meetings are held the first and third Mondays of each month in the City Council Chambers at 7:00 pm. The Commission also holds occasional workshops as required.

Mobilehome Park Rent Stabilization Commission meetings are held on an "as needed" basis, depending upon if there is a petition from a Mobile Home Park pending.

Youth Accountability Board meetings are held quarterly in Feb, May, August and November. Meetings take place at the Carolyn Owens Community Center, 13201 Central Avenue, at 6:00 pm.

Teen Advisory Committee Meetings are held the first Thursday following the first City Council Meeting of the month in the City Council Chambers at 7:00 pm.
