Bickmore Remains Closed Until KB Homes Repairs Completed

Bickmore Avenue remains closed from Meadowhouse to Euclid until KB Homes repairs the sinkhole caused by its construction.

The City of Chino is making all efforts to ensure that KB Homes completes the repairs so the street is open by Monday.

Planned Closures

Kimball Avenue
Westbound Kimball Avenue will be closed between Flight Avenue and Mill Creek Avenue, Monday-Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. beginning Monday, February 11, 2019 through Monday, March 25, 2019. See map below for detour information. Construction crews will be on site as they complete underground utility work.

1. Pine Avenue between El Prado Avenue and Fern Avenue.
2. Merrill Avenue between Bon View Avenue and Flight Avenue.
3. Eastbound lanes of Pine Avenue from West Preserve Loop to East Preserve Loop.
4. Bickmore Avenue between Meadowhouse and Euclid Avenue.
5. Euclid Avenue between Pine Avenue and the SR 71.

Proposed Mental Health Crisis Facility Project at the California Institution for Men


January 10, 2019-The California Institution for Men (CIM) hosted a Public Hearing to receive oral and written comments from public agencies, interested parties and the public regarding the Draft Environmental Impact Report.

July 26, 2018-The CIM hosted a public scoping meeting to present information on the proposed 50-Bed Mental Health Crisis Facility Project to be constructed at the California Institution for Men (14901 Central Avenue, Chino, CA). The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation(CDCR) solicited oral and written comments from agencies and the public on the scope and content of the Environmental Impact Report.
