Public Notice: The City of Chino is accepting applications from interested residents for appointment to the Community Services Commission.  The appointment is for a one (1) three-year term beginning July 2020 and ending June 2023. Application Deadline is Friday, June 5, 2020.  

Community Services Commission Application

Community Services Commissioners serve in an advisory capacity to the City Council on issues that will contribute to improving the quality of life in the City. These issues are focused in the areas of recreation, human services, and parks and open space. Commissioners serve on various committees to study and make recommendations on programs, projects, and services; visit City parks; and attend Community Services events. Pursuant to Chino Municipal Code Chapter 2.38, applicants must reside in the City of Chino at time of appointment and for the duration of their term. Community Services Commission meetings are held on the fourth Monday of each month at 7 p.m.

The City Council relies on a number of citizen boards and commissions to serve as advisory bodies to the Council. These bodies play an important role in the governance of our City and provide valuable input to the City Council.

Community Services Commission meetings are held the fourth Monday of each month in the City Council Chambers at 7:00 pm. The Commission also holds occasional workshops/tours as required.

Planning Commission meetings are held the first and third Mondays of each month in the City Council Chambers at 7:00 pm. The Commission also holds occasional workshops as required.

Mobilehome Park Rent Stabilization Commission meetings are held on an "as needed" basis, depending upon if there is a petition from a Mobile Home Park pending.

Youth Accountability Board meetings are held quarterly in Feb, May, August and November. Meetings take place at the Carolyn Owens Community Center, 13201 Central Avenue, at 6:00 pm.

Teen Advisory Committee Meetings are held the first Thursday following the first City Council Meeting of the month in the City Council Chambers at 7:00 pm.
