City Council

The City Council serves as the legislative branch of City Government and consists of a Mayor and four Council Members, all nonpartisan. The Mayor is elected at-large and Council Members are elected by geographically defined districts, each for four-year terms. The elections coincide with the Statewide General Election, held in November of even numbered years. The City Council appoint the City Manager and City Attorney, with Department Directors appointed by the City Manager.

City Council Meetings

City Council Meetings are held on the first and third Tuesdays of each month with the open session commencing at 7:00 p.m. Meetings are held in the Chino City Council Chambers located at 13220 Central Avenue in Chino.
