CHINO, Calif. – Plan to celebrate Chino during Chino Day at the L.A. County Fair, taking place Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2017. The fun-filled event will celebrate the City of Chino, its residents, businesses, community groups, and civic organizations.

Chino residents pay only $8 admission to attend the City’s special day, online advance purchase required; simply visit to place your order, use promo code chino20 and print! Proceeds from the advance $8.00 admission tickets support the Big Yellow Bus program and will help to offset fieldtrip transportation fees. The Fair opens to the public at noon.

There will be fun for the whole family with a FairKids Expo, beginning at 9 a.m. and ending at noon; a Chino Community Day Parade at 5 p.m.; and a Community Hero Celebration beginning at 5:30 p.m. in which four Chino community individuals will be honored. The Adult Community Hero honorees are Glenn and Cindy Duncan; the Young Adult Community Hero is Kasey Rosales and the Senior Hero is Pam Dolar. All heroes will be honored at the community reception, located at the Court of the Redwoods next to the NHRA Museum at the La County Fair.

This year’s parade will highlight the City of Chino’s Community Heroes, local high schools, community groups, Chino Police Department, Chino Valley Fire District, businesses and civic leaders.

This day at the Fair is an excellent educational opportunity for our community and a great way to show Chino Pride. Day at the Fair details are below:

9 a.m. to 12 p.m FairKids Expo by the Big Red Barn
5 p.m. Community Parade highlighting civic leaders, groups and school marching bands.
5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Community Day Reception celebrating all community heroes and highlighting art contest winners from the Chino Valley Unified School District.The art contest theme was, “Selfies At the Fair.”
