The Chino Crime-Free Multi-Housing Program (CFMH) is designed to help residents, owners, managers and anyone else associated with rental property keep drugs and other illegal activity out of their community. The CFMH program uses a unique three phase approach:
- Phase I - An eight hour seminar presented by the Police Department and other city and county agencies
- Phase II - A Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (C.P.T.E.D.) Inspection which certifies that the property has met the minimum security requirements for the residents' safety
- Phase III - A Neighborhood Watch - Crime Prevention meeting
Criminal background checks on all new applicants and implementation of the Crime Free Lease Addendum is also a certification requirement. Once fully certified, Managers/Owners will be granted the use of the CFMH signs for display on their property. Management will also be granted the use of the CFMH logo in all future advertisements.
