Armed Forces Banner Program

The Armed Forces Banner Program was initiated by the City of Chino to honor and recognize Chino's military personnel.

To qualify, honorees must meet the following requirements:

  • Active duty military personnel of the United States Armed Forces; or
  • American FlagInactive but served in the United States Armed Forces from October 7, 2001 - deactivation; and
  • Current Chino resident; or
  • Past resident with immediate family currently residing in Chino. 
    (Immediate family means wife/husband, son/daughter, grandson/granddaughter, son-in-law/daughter-in-law, aunt/uncle, or niece/nephew.)

As an ongoing program, applications are accepted year round.  Banners will be installed quarterly:  January, May, and September and November.  Timing of the banner installation and removal will be at the City's discreation.  Banners may be displayed for a minimum of one (1) year, before retired and given to the honoree or the honoree's family.
