The Armed Forces Banner Program was initiated by the City of Chino to honor and recognize Chino's military personnel.
To qualify, honorees must meet the following requirements:
- Active duty military personnel of the United States Armed Forces; or
Inactive but served in the United States Armed Forces from October 7, 2001 - deactivation; and
- Current Chino resident; or
- Past resident with immediate family currently residing in Chino.
(Immediate family means wife/husband, son/daughter, grandson/granddaughter, son-in-law/daughter-in-law, aunt/uncle, or niece/nephew.)
As an ongoing program, applications are accepted year round. Banners will be installed quarterly: January, May, and September and November. Timing of the banner installation and removal will be at the City's discreation. Banners may be displayed for a minimum of one (1) year, before retired and given to the honoree or the honoree's family.
