Residential Service Information
Cart Service Reminders:
Place all waste in the appropriate container and close the lid.
Trash, recyclables and greenwaste not placed in carts will not be collected.
Place your carts at the curb by 6:00 am on your collection day. Emptied carts must be removed from curbside.
Roll carts into the street and place them against the curb with the handles facing your home. Place carts at least two feet apart from other carts and objects.

Waste collection does not occur on the following days:

Memorial Day
4th of July
Labor Day
Thanksgiving Day
Christmas Day
When the holiday falls on a weekday, collection will be delayed one day for the remainder of the week. If a holiday falls on a Saturday or Sunday, there will be NO delays.
Billing
Residential services are billed by the City of Chino. For billing questions, please contact the City of Chino at (909) 591-9820. Contact Waste Management if you have questions regarding service collection at (800) 423-9986.
Temporary Bin and Roll-off Service
For large clean up jobs or construction projects at your home, residents may rent a temporary “dumpster” or “roll-off” for a fee. Please call Waste Management at (800) 423-9986 to schedule service.
Disposal of Used Motor Oil
Residents may place up to five gallons of used motor oil at curbside on their regular collection day. Advance notice is required. Please contact Waste Management for a free oil container or place in a tightly closed, clear plastic container, such as a milk or water jug.
Christmas Tree Recycling
We will collect and recycle Christmas trees for the first two weeks following Christmas on your regular collection day. Trees taller than six feet must be cut in half. Please remove all decorations including tinsel, lights, ornaments and tree stands. Flocked trees will be collected but cannot be recycled.
Bulky Item Collection
For items that don’t fit in the provided trash container, residents can receive three bulky item pick-ups per year at no additional cost. Contact Waste Management at (800) 423-9986 at least 24 hours in advance of your regular collection day to schedule your items for pick up. Additional pick-ups are available for a nominal fee.
Residential Curbside Recycling, Green Waste and Trash
As part of the City of Chino’s weekly refuse service, each single-family residence has received three 96-gallon wheeled carts: one with a gray lid for recyclables, one with a green lid for green waste, and one with a black lid for trash.
Recycling Container (Gray Lid)

Green Waste Container (Green Lid)
The following types of materials should be placed in your Green Waste Container:
Grass clippings
Leaves
Brush
Shrubbery prunings
Cuttings
Tree trimmings
Tree limbs sized to fit the cart
NOTE: Do Not Include: batteries, chemicals, plastics, paper and all other debris in the green waste cart. Place these items in your regular trash and or take hazardous items such as chemicals and batteries to the City's HHW facility.

Trash Container (Black Lid)
Non-recyclable or non-green waste materials should be placed in the Trash Container. This includes but is not limited to:
Food wrappers
Milk cartons and waxed cardboard
Soiled or wet paper
Tissues, paper plates, and paper towels
Scrap metal
Mirrors or window glass
China, ceramics, drinking glasses or mugs
Pyrex-type glass
Light bulbs
Plastic bags
Food waste
Diapers
Clothing & shoes
