The Chino Experience Teen Center, now located at Monte Vista Park (ā€œDā€ Street and Monte Vista Avenue), is a recreational facility for registered youth participants who are enrolled in 7th-12th grades.  The center offers youth the ability to participate in supervised programs and activities with their peers, in a safe, fun and positive environment.  The center also offers numerous workshops for students and parents concerning college planning, internet safety, bullying, and other teen-related issues.   Membership is only $5.00 per month, which allows participants full use of all center amenities and programming opportunities.  The Teen Center also provides a shuttle service that escorts participants from the Briggs Elementary and Don Antonio Lugo High School for an additional fee of $15.00 per month.

Registration for the Teen Center and shuttle service is required. Registration forms are available at the Neighborhood Activity Center, located at 5201 D Street.

Teen Advisory Committee (TAC)

The Teen Advisory Committee's purpose is to provide the City of Chino with vital input on teen issues while promoting greater involvement of youth in the community and municipal government. TAC tries to identify youth-related issues of concern and serve in an advisory capacity to the Community Services Commission in recommending solutions as related to programs or projects in the City of Chino.

The City of Chino is currently looking for Committee members.  If you are interested or may know someone whom may be interested in being part of the Teen Advisory Committee please click here for the application.

Teen Leadership Program

This is a 9-week Summer program where participants develop leadership skills, and learn what it is like to work in a recreation-based program.  Participants in this program will have the opportunity to broaden their horizons and experience what it means to truly help in the community.  A weekly field trip will be included in this program.  For more information, please click here or contact the Neighborhood Activity Center at (909) 590-5575; email to communityservices@cityofchino.org.

Pop Culture and Its Influence

popThis workshop will provide participants with an overview of teen pop culture and its influence on decision making and personal choices.  Participants will learn how media has influenced the way we think about politics, religion, history, and relationships.  Participants will receive information and how to use the power of po culture for social and personal good.

Cost: FREE for all Tens!
