Wow - time flies and here we are again with Christmas upon us! It does not seem like 12 months have passed since we last lit the Christmas tree on the lawn here at City Hall or held the Christmas Youth Parade and Fair, a few great Chino traditions.

The City of Chino was awarded the prestigious "100 Best Communities for Youth" award for the second time in three years!

Detectives of the Chino Police Department are reporting an increase in resident calls and complaints regarding mail fraud / scams. Several residents have called to report the receipt of an unsolicited letter accompanied by a check for varying amounts, sometimes in the thousands of dollars.

"CodeRED" is a high-speed telephone emergency notification service which will allow City officials to deliver pre-recorded emergency messages by phone to targeted areas or throughout the entire City at a rate of up to 60,000 calls per hour. This fast and efficient service will allow Chino residents and business owners who register their contact information with "CodeRED" to receive emergency information by phone in the event of a major disaster or emergency.
